Good lesson horses are the key to any successful riding program. Ours have been carefully selected for their manners and suitability. The facility stables more than twenty lesson horses. Some are used for beginners and others are used by more experienced riders for showing and jumping.
Audi Calypso a.k.a. "Ozzie
Ozzie has been with the program since his donation in 2005. He is extremely aware of the abilities of his riders and adjusts to the level necessary to make the lesson fun and safe. Ozzie enjoys being the center of attention and can often be found sticking his nose out of his stall to see what is going on in the barn. Before becoming a therapeutic horse he competed in Grand Prix level jumpers, and now enjoys jumping and hunter shows in the time he is not having a therapeutic riding lesson.

Haida's Black Magic a.k.a "Magic"
Magic has been with the program for almost five years. He was chosen especially for his gentle demeanor and patience for his rider. Magic is especially good at drawing shy students out of their shells. He rewards them with a gentle nuzzle to their hand. Before becoming a therapeutic horse Magic competed very successfully as a children's hunter. Now he enjoys hanging out in the paddock eating grass and sharing time with our special students.
